It's a Red Tailed Hawk, most common raptor in North America. We have a ton of them in the midwest. Was thinking about checking out our neighborhood hawk the same way.
Hawks like these generally give zero farts about anything, but I always try to minimize the harassment of wildlife unless it's a pest species like starlings or canada geese.
Get in, take the vid or shots, then get out and especially don't go near a nest.
But yes, great footage and nice control of your drone!

Really cool footage. Strange that it didn't fly away or try to take down the drone. Quite a relaxed bird I guess.

Yeah i  Thought so too when I flew close to it and it was pretty windy at the moment
