I use DJIgo4 with an iPhone 5S.  Although it works OK most of the time, my phone heats up and shuts off for a reboot.  This didn,t happen right at first (about 4 months of use about twice a month), but now I have trouble keeping the phone on with use of the go4 app.  I am using it in airplane mode and with cellular data off.  Now the phone will not send audio when I use facetime time or messenger video chat.  Are these problelms caused by the overheating that took place?  Would a new phone battery help?  If I replace the phone with an iPhone 8, will I sooner or later experiance the same issues?  Any input will be helpful.

Thanks for the input.  I know my phone was either minimal or not on the list at all.  It looks like the new phone is in my very near future!

With my Samsung Galaxy S8 I have no issues with DJI Go4 (except a little bit fast droughting battary). Think with iPhone 8 you will be good and safe.

With regards to I would suggest using the recommend and tested device which is provided as well by @Lysak2003, and about your concern, it will be a case to case basis what could be the main reason why your phone experiencing that issue it would be better to have it check or bring it into any service center.

No issues running on IPhone 7 so 8 should be fine.

The battery draining is perfectly normal.
