Hi there, thank you for reaching out. With regards to your concern here's our list for tested and recommended device.

If I might ask, My main phone is a CAT S61 running Oreo 8.1.0 is this compatible with DJI GO 4?   I also have a n I Pad Air 2 would this be more suitable?

Yes. Use the iPad air2, that’s what I use and it works perfectly!
Just get the thing to attach to the remote so that you can connect the iPad
Plus the screen is bigger! Trust me, I’ve flown with the phone and now with the iPad, such a difference!
And such a joy to fly on the big iPad!
