Part 107 seems to be so easy to get, I can't believe it.

I do not know these people personally. I was just flabbergasted that without having flown before and within two days he was a pro drone pilot. Here in the great white north the new law makes things a wee bit more difficult.

what surprises me is apparently only spent $5 to get part 107?      the "local" testing facility here wants $150-$200 just for testing, not anything else.. $5 registration + $150-$200 + costs of studying.

as for passing without having flown a drone.. like most things you dont have to know what your doing ot pass a test if smart enough, hell getting driver's licence now in america is 90% tapping on a screen and 10% driving.  i actually got retested myself cuz of my speeding offenses they wanted me to take a driving coarse which included taking the modern day test.   which is laughable.. mostly tapping on a display to pick answers, and driving around a small block and then parking between some cones..

I guess you have shop around if the FAA hasn't set a fixed price.

this was a FAA license center so they have the FAA prices..i just cannot remember what the price was.  thats why i said $150-$200
