I lost my drone by the hard rock casino and would like to look at the treetops to see if it’s there. Using another drone would probably be the easiest way. Please help a fellow out.

Ray, If you don't get any local help to find your drone. You could always fly me to Florida we could search the tree tops to find your drone. I would only be asking for airfare, food and lodging.

You could try searching youtube for people posting drone vids in the same area. Like, comment, and sub their channel... then ask them for some help. Just an idea

Haha. It would probably still be cheaper than buying a new drone. I loaded it up on there yesterday. Pretty much told me what the DJI app did as far as helping locate it. It was acting a little weird when I took off and then it straightened out. Left it hovering over the road until it updated home position and the green light on the drone was flashing normal. Went about a mile on the other side of a hotel which I have done before and no warning just a disconnect. I had pretty big balls with this thing because it was always predictable and it always seemed to warn me when I was at its limit but not this time.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did go on OfferUp and asked a few people that were selling them to help out. Haven’t heard anything yet so you idea might be next

I called and started a case but I’m still waiting for an email with instructions on what to do.

Hey man , sorry for your loss. I live here in east Hollywood . I work early and finish when it’s dark out next few days. I know it’s a long time away , if you can’t find anyone else to help you I can prob do it this weekend. I just would be a bit nervous to lose mine also if issue was due to location. Keep me posted. Mine was stuck in a palm a couple years ago, I attached a bunch of long thin bamboo together, “ about a 40 ft “ I was able to get it back but gimbal broke when it fell

That would be great. It wasn’t because of the location. And if we go to the top of the parking garage you will have direct line of site with your bird the whole time. I looked again this morning because it was windy last night but nothing. I’ll text you my contact info. Thank you.

I am in Miami Beach but it is going to be an extremely windy couple of days and then am going out and coming back on Monday. I'll be glad to help you but it has to wait until Monday, sometimes in the afternoon.

Hey buddy just got back from work . Going to add you then try and pm you. Great you were able to see location on laptop try and screen shot image of location and we can compare to mine as we fly

Have not had a look in the trees yet but GroTToFlyeR is going to give me a hand on Saturday with his drone. It is a while away, but its what both of our schedules allow. I will post our results when we are finished. Hopefully it will be a happy ending to this thread. Thank you everyone for your help.

Yesterday was bad weather so we didn’t get a chance to look but I found out a friend of a friend has a phantom so he helped me look today but no luck. Not sure what happened to it. Chances are someone is enjoying a free mavic. I will be more careful with the next one. A gps tracker for sure. They should come with them for the price they charge but I guess then they would lose out on the repeat buyers. Anyways, thanks for the help guys, hopefully DJI will help me out on this but I have not heard anything from them and it’s been over a week.

Glad you got a chance to look. It sucks it’s gone. Weather had been so bad here and glad you got to do a fly around with open weather window. It really looked close to pool in your gps photo. I’m thinking somebody prob got it right away. Prob a worker maybe. As silly as it sounds, did you go in and go to guest services and see if it was found? Maybe a rare chance it was turned in. Sorry for your loss. Hopefully they will find it wasn’t due to pilot errors and reimburse you. There is another guy with a fly away thread and he said that they did that and sent him new 1 . Sorry man
