My package finally arrived.
PGY Tech gimbal protector all the way from China

RE_DSC01166.jpg
It took extactly 30 days for delivery.
Mind that if you want to order from aliexpress.

I bought this to make my OP even more compact to carry in my pocket.

RE_DSC01168.jpg
Standard case was fine but new case can even fit into the standard case.
Much smaller and lighter in your pocket.

Just about the thickness of airpod charging case.

It is made of polycarbonate and does decent job of locking all the gimbal arms in place.
It may not drop proof but good enough to protech gimbal join inside pocket.

RE_IMG_E4915.jpg
There is enough space between the lense and the protecter so you can case it with ND filter on it. (but I haven't test it cus my ND filter is not here yet)

It is designed to socket the gimbal arm in place.

Some pading material in the neck area.

I have used it for couple of days and it is noticeably smaller and lighter in my jacket and not noticeable from outside at all.
Also easier and faster to put it on and off.
Paid $8 and like it so far.

My daily setup is like this.
Gimbal protector on top and DIY USB-C tripod mount at the bottom.

No problem to carry it everyday.

Below is the link to video making DIY tripod mount in case if you wonder.

I am still concerned that using one of these protectors and accidentally switching the OP on will damage the gimbal motors!.
Perhaps the Dji admin could get some tech advice on this and let us know for certain.

I actually tested it briefly.

OP has gimbal protect function that releases gimbal motor if gimbal is stuck or its movement is blocked to prevent from dameging the motor.
However when OP is booting, this gimbal protect function is not initiated and gimbal motor make stress click sound. Which means that gimbal motor is not stoping with this case on and continues forcing to move the gimbal. (and will evantually break the motor or something.)

I was anticipated it and removed cover as soon as I hear the stress click and OP was fine but you should never turn on the OP with the cover or movement is blocked.
