Hi,

I am seriously considering buying a Spark and whilst I live in an area which is pretty remote there are some High Voltage power lines near by as can been seen from the photo,

How far away from the power lines is safe to fly in regards to interference?

I've flown very close to High Tension lines with no problems (not under them, that might be a bad idea)

Hi, thanks for the inquiry. We highly recommend avoiding obstacles, crowds, high voltage power lines, trees or bodies of water when flying your Spark. To minimize electromagnetic interference, please do not fly in an area with high levels of electromagnetism, including mobile phone base stations or radio transmission towers. Please try to fly the aircraft in open areas to avoid any issue. Should you have further question, please let us know. Thank you.

Personally, I would stay at least 10 meters away, not only about interferences but also in case of wind gusts or signal loss.

That’s a lot less distance than I expected to be honest, those lines are 400kV.

I flew with power line once I didn't experience any problems that was just annoying because I had to avoid crashing into it. I don't think I will fly near it again. If you can keep the drone one side or another and not cross them you will be fine.

Just remember, that you need to count  length from the last line, not from the middle axis of the bearing.

Very useful info... thanks for sharing.
And where the heck are these 1150 kV lines?
Looking here: https://www.entsoe.eu/data/map/
I was able to find some 750 kV ones, but not those 1150kV.
