Why in Phantom 4 RTK it is not possible to save photos in DNG (RAW), when it is the same camera as in Phantom 4 Pro (in Phantom 4 Pro it is possible)?
DJI, are you planning to change it in the next firmware?

We are a surveying company that has a both - P4Pro and P4 RTK. We are confused from the quality of photos from RTK version, because of the JPG format only. I don't understand why there is such a software limitation if the price of the unit is almost 6.000,-€... we definitely hope for a software update

DJI giveth and DJI taketh away...

Their "survey grade" solution only allows jpeg format, for no good reason.

I am just curious, why do you need the RAW format. I have been using drones for the last eight years for surveying (mostly fixed wings) I found marginal improvements from using the RAW or Tiff files for the production of accurate maps and much more of a hassle. Sometimes you would lose the exit at for geo-location and have to start over. My object is to get the job flow, deliver the product, and get paid as promptly as possible. I see no point in adding more time to the process. For plain old earthwork, pretty pictures really don't matter

I fly regularly scheduled survey flights on multiple projects every month and while I’m there I like to take pretty progress photos. Currently I have to put the old reliable P4P up to get the photos in RAW. Real pain in the ass.....

I would also need the RAW-format for remote sensing purpouses. Does someone know, if there has been some progress on this topic in the last year?

This sort of ties in with the current problem I am trying to solve which is being able to fly manually and record photos on a timed interval, 2 sec, 3 sec, etc.

Using the DJI Pilot app (v1.7.2 only one I could download that works) installed on the built in screen controller, you can get to the menu to change the photo type to JPG+RAW but when you select it, it automatically reverts back to the JPG.  This is the same for trying to change single shot to interval, it just reverts back to single shot.

As far as I know there is no way to take photos in RAW format regardless which remote you're using...

Up once more, DJI, will you add RAW support to the P4RTK anytime?

Lol. DJI isn't going to add any enhancements to the P4R... They've all but abandoned it. We were lucky to get RID.
