So we finally have the "Waypoints 2.0" intelligent flight mode added.

The waypoints feature itself is quite good, with plenty of options and settings to tweak in order to make it work for you.
If you want to see the waypoints in real-life, here's a video I shot today:

Yeah, it's works perfectly well. No glitches at all.

Never worked with the way-point's on drones, I am going to do a test around my home area, if i create a route does the drone ascend to the height of the first way-point before starting? or should you ascend manually first to the route elevation and then start? I have some tree's to clear first.

Hi Bart,

AC will ascend either when you hit go from auto takeoff, or when you hit go if after manual takeoff. Essentially, whatever the choice, it will ascend as per your 1st waypoint altitude.

One caution when working with waypoints, is to make sure you have sufficient height to clear buildings, trees, hills etc. This requires that you know the terrain a bit before you launch.

I see Mike struggles with the point of interest.

I’m also finding this really hard to use. When trying to select the POI, I end up with 15+ points of interest!

How does one easily select and edit this?

Great tutorial, Mike! I’ve not used waypoints before and I’ve been waiting for it.

Figured out the points of interest...

If your waypoint marker is too close to the POI, you can’t select the POI. Delete the nearest waypoint and then you can edit the POI.

Noticed that as well my flight was a close circle to home, which made the POI seem unresponsive. I also noticed that if you place a POI close to your home point it will not let you select it for edit.  I had to set the POI out a little from my home point to make the edits and move it back over my home once my edits were done.

Not a huge deal because I don't think my test scenario is a mission I would fly but someone doing real estate might.

After press red button on screen it's popup "Cancel(c1) or Ok(c2)" after press ok or c2 button it's nothing happen and still same screen

5/22/20 Two confounding problems with Waypoint 2.0.  #1. When flying between waypoints the camera progressively moves to point in the direction of the subsequent ( third) waypoint rather than the flight path direction. #2. The camera does not track the POI accurately in the center of the frame. That appears to be a consistent error seen in the Youtubes of many although it is rarely mentioned.

Best part I like is spending 6k for a brand new drone that I cant get it the air because this mission planner wont let me go above 30 feet... Then gives an error for flight restrictions with no info on what the actual problem is.... I have a brand new 6k pile of sh#t.  DGI got me... Scammed me... Great job guys...
