I got mine last week and yes it does not come charged on delivery. You have to charge it by a USB cable that came with your Vision Plus. It will take around 2 to 3 hrs for  it to fully charge LED power light will turn green then as you turn it ON you will also see the 4 green lights lit indicating the remaining power.  You will love this new remote control the DIAL is just so much easier and very smooth than the iPad app. Good luck and have fun flying.

Yes, if you charging minimum one LED will light.

You have a try. Open the case and see if all the connectors inside are plugged in properly. Pictures from the inside, you'll find on the Internet.

The connector from the USB port belongs at the bottom center of the board.
The plug from the trainer port belongs up on the edge of the board.

Mine charged last night... today it is completely dead and didn't even turn on.

UPDATE: I remembered that the firmware upgrade did not complete successfully last night and the remote crapped out so I couldn't complete.  I just tried redoing the upgrade and it was completed successfully.  The remote works now and all 4 green lights are on.  Phew... was bummed for a sec that I be grounded for a short while.
