New firmware update is released!!
iOS & AOS Mimo app v1.04 is released and it came with new firmware.


v01.04.00.20

1. Added pro setting when using Osmo Pocket without DJI Mimo.
2. Added option to switch between AFC and AFS when using Osmo Pocket without DJI Mimo.
3. Added Cine-Like color mode to video mode.
4. Fixed issue: after powering off, the gimbal attitude of some devices was in an abnormal position to fit into the cover.
5. Optimized face detection.
6. Reduced focus pulsing in some situations, such as when shooting the sky or at night.
7. Increased autofocus speed when moving Osmo Pocket quickly.

*Firmware size: 51M

So excited to check the updates!!

Has DJI confirmed anything around HEVC? Hopefully the hardware encoder/decoder in the device can support it and it's not been limited to AVC for cost purposes!

Nice summary.  Thanks for the timely notice, too.  Now all the complainers will come out of their dens and start whining about the frequency of firmware updates !! ;-)  Not bad, actually... two software and two firmware updates in a month.  Good job DJI.  Thanks for keeping your promises.

I'm in agreement WebParrot. Nice job by the team at DJI addressing some of the issues/complaints! I think the biggest positive of it all is that they're showing that they're committed to making the product all that it can be, and I think most folks appreciate that.

I do not get the story mode in the application. Is there any reason?

checked ... Story mode only works with the phone hooked to the OP ... by Wifi does not appear.

Story Mode  upper right corner left of selfie button and works on iOS for me

FYI .....Actually theres something Odd

iphone 6s+ & iphone Xs pluged in to smart phone connector ... shows story mode

Plug in a cable to USB-C to iphone 6s+ & iphone X ... shows story mode

Plug in Wifi module and it no longer there using WIFI or BT on either device

Managed to update the app on IOS, but I didn't get any firmware update message yet. I'll try again latter today.
Story mode looks fun, but I wish there was an option to remove the DJI watermarks.

Was the same for me .... but it is there maybe only maybe servers are busy tomorrows good to

Well done DJI

Got the app updated, and the firmware, only problem now connecting to the phone with the smart adaptor it keeps disconnecting, worked fine before, when i use the wireless module, the app does not show the story mode shooting option so still carnt use it

Can you get rid of the watermark in post?Maybe snip off the clip with the watermark?I'm at work and my OP is at home but i'm stoked about this update and want to try it out.All I wanted was Story mode.

Did the update and was notified that it was 100% complete and successful. But my firmware still says 01.03.00.20. Anyone can advise me how I can re-initiate the firmware update? Now when I plug my OP into the phone, it does not prompt me that there is a firmware update available anymore. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S7. Thanks in advance.

Updated to new firmware sucessfully. It works great. Will test it more. Thank you for Pro mode in OM!  Now we all are pros ;)

I don't think I will ever use the story mode, and the square colorful  gradient button is very visible in the Mimo app. Hopefully it can be hidden after story mode is not new thing

It's me again. Success! I guess the servers were congested and I did not get the full download of the firmware update the first time. I re-started my phone, re-connected the OP to the phone and waited. Finally after about 3mins, it showed that I had an update. I initiated the update and this time it look longer than the first time, with the OP coming alive and showing the update progress about halfway into the process. Finally my phone and OP showed a successful update and now the firmware is on the latest. Thanks.

Same with me :-( ... I tried 2x, OP said "all okay", but old firmware was shown.
Two tries again ... firmware download failure. Fifth try .. now it works!

Have anyone seen an improvement of the auto focus? especially in low light? I don't have my OP now as a friend borrowed it for a 2 weeks trip,

I am testing it right now.
Yet to open up the clips on big screen but seems better than before in low light.
Will post test video later.

After upgrade to 01.04.00.20 torch mode gone?

Mostly very pleased with this update, but with two MAJOR annoyances.
*DJI logo not removable
* Minimum three seconds between time lapse or motion lapse shots. We need to have 0.5s, 1s, 2s intervals too.

If you turn off the Time lapse original Photo switch in pro mode then you get 2 seconds for time/motion laspe . just go into timelaspe on op and tap the 3 seconds icon then you will see the 2 seconds to use.

Yeah I have no interest in story mode either, however I feel I'm missing something the way everyone was clamoring for it.
