After my first little crash the battery retention failed on one of my batteries, which I did not realize until my second little crash about 90 seconds later. Fortunately, since I am a camera nerd I had my camera bag with me and in one of the pockets I had this cheapo silicone bracelet.
After a little bit of trial and error I found that the simple solution was to stretch the silicone bracelet over the top front of the Spark then underneath the arms and back around the battery. Once in place the battery is extremely secure, even in the event of a crash. The reason this is so important is that if you have a flyaway or some catastrophic crash and your battery ejects the Spark will no longer be able to communicate with the controller, make noise, blink LEDs, etc. so you could end up losing the Spark altogether.
I have used this solution ever since. It does not interfere with the use or performance of the Spark and gives me a little bit of peace of mind.
I help this helps some folks. Happy Flying!
Here's a link to the bracelets on Amazon, but you can find them in the dollar store, Walmart, etc.
