Anyone know why the osmo pocket has such a huge crop when shooting in slow motion?
But when I shoot in slow motion that crop kills me. I feel I have to stand a good 10' away, in order to get subjects in frame as opposed to when im shooting in regular speed 1080/30,24.

Only "Good" is in maybe 95 % slomo. "morning" is 100 %. "morning" at 50 % would be "mmmooorrrnnniiinnnggg".

No problem, was funny. I think the amount of data is set through the smaller image detail. X 4 = 240 pics/s, is probably too much for the little thing. But I can be wrong ...

Hi, thanks for the inquiry. The image size and FOV will be smaller after shooting in Slow Motion mode. However, the focal length remains the same. 1080P is captured from 4K videos. Hope this information would clarify your query. Thank you for continued support.

The hardware probably can't handle resampling a 4K (3840x2160) image to 1920x1080 at 120 fps. so it's just tale a 1920x1080 from the sensor and record it.

While we're discussing slomo, all I want to do is to shoot 4K at 50fps. When I edit the material with Lumafusion - set to 25fps, it still plays the 50fps shots at normal speed. I can't see a setting, even in PRO mode, to shoot slomo at 4K, 50fps...

I don't know your editing program but normally when you set a project up and set the frame rate for the project, any files imported to the project will be converted to the new frame rate. What you need inside the editor is an effect plugin that allows the clip to be slowed down after importing.

The osmo pocket does not have an option to slow down 4k.  I slow down my 4k 60 videos in Lumafusion using a 24p or 30p timeline.  Once you insert the clip on the timeline, double tap it and you will find a car gauge icon.  There you will have the option to edit the speed of your clip.  In my case, I set it to 40% for my 60fps clips for a buttery smooth slow-mo which is the same equivalent percentage I use in Premiere Pro.  In your case, you will slow it down to 50%.  You can also check this.  Hope it helps.  https://forums.luma-touch.com/viewtopic.php?t=5494
