I only have two batteries, that does me for a day any more and I get a bit bored of the whole flying thing and my neck hurts ;-)

If you think that is bad the wife and kids are worse, they're bored after 1 and the dog is convinced any flight will end in disaster and hides under the nearest bush until the flight is finished!

For their sake I have never considered more than 2 including the one which came with the Phantom.

Hi you all have battery's for the drone how long do the battery's last in the controller then

I voted, but want to add more info:

• I have 5 batteries with two P3Ps. But since I only fly one at a time, that's 5 batteries per mission.
• Since I have two P3Ps, I also have two 100W charging AC adaptors, so I can charge two at a time. Note that you don't have to buy a new bird to get a second charger -- you can buy them separately (yes, they're a big pricey).
• When I feel the need, I bring along my GoalZero Yeti 400, which has two AC outlets in addition to other outlets. I don't know how many charges I can get out of this thing because I haven't exhausted it yet. When I got it home, I immediately plug it into AC and leave it there until the next use (as recommended by the mfg).
  

In a typical mission around town, I can get away with 3 batteries without having a charger along, sometimes even just 2. Obviously, with the charger in item #3, I could easily get by with two batteries total. But when going out of town, especially on a road trip that's a full day or more than a day, the charger seems a must.

i have five.  one in the spare p3p. one in the main bird, and one in each of the slots in my gpc backpack.

You have to add zero battery.

Got my very first extra battery in the mail today! I have had the drone for exactly 8 days now

Only 1 for now.

4 total and I rotate them each time on the charger

I have two in total, the one that come with it and a extra, i do plan on getting at least one other at some point.

Added 1 Chinese knockoff and 1 DJI factory battery. Along with the original, I have 3 batteries. I fly them all to 30%.The remote, when starting out @ 100% charge, has no problem with 3 full battery runs.  I run the P3s, P3p & P3a may have different results.

how many battery's do you need more then 2 or 3 ,,,, the transmitter can only do so much on a charge ,,, how many battery flights do you get on a transmitter charge

Have a P3P and 6 batteries in hand....

Flew for approximately 90 minutes Sunday morning, charged the batteries up for another 90 minutes flying  Sunday evening....

Need a couple more and I'm set....

I almost answered one but that actually means two

4 spares now.  Bought 1 spare when I first got my P3A, and after 200+ cycles it, and the one that came with the 'copter are still hanging in there!

4 total. Bought 2 brand new ones on craigslist for 90$, One is the original, and the other I got for free (not saying how)

10-P3 batteries between 2 P3Pro's, 5-P2 batteries and 5-3dr Solo Batteries.

Currently I rotate through 5 batteries for my P3P and 8 for my P4. When I recieved my P4 I gave away all my extra (didn't fit in my case) P3 batteries to my Father for his P3P that I bought him a few months back, he now has 5 batteries for his Phantom.

3 extra here

2 more for me.

8 for Phantom
8 for phantom 2+
10 for inspire 1
4 for Phantom 4

and thats just for my DJI drones
Dozens more for their Video production gear, Ronin , Osmo etc etc
And
10's of dozens for my other drones, Heavy lift etc.......I have a lot of Battery Chargers lol.

12 total, 4 different quads.

Very true! They make some good $$$$$ that way I guess!

but I could do with at least 8 more lol

Just picked up my 1st spare today from Apple!

I do use total 5 batteries..thats the total amount fitting to turtle shell backpack..

I just took advantage of the 50% off and bought a second one

I just have one extra battery for my phantom 3 pro.    With the longer flight times , 40 minutes has been adequate for me ... So far.

My guess is your results aren't accurate. What are the odds that 42% of people have 4 or more batter ...

I have 4, another one on the way. If people have the money, you better believe they're going to stock up on batteries, if they're using the P4 (or planning to) for commercial purposes, or just want to be able to fly all day for recreational purposes. They will invest in the batteries, given that they already invested almost 10x the battery's price in the aircraft.
