Mavic Air using Ipad Mini 2

I just found out that the Ipad Mini 2 with WiFi only does not have a built in GPS chip!
The WiFi + 3G model does have a built in GPS chip!

My question is how would WiFi only produce satellite maps or would I need to buy one with WiFi & 3G

You'll only be able to see the maps if your iPad Mini is connected to the Internet while flying or if you cache the maps in DJI GO before you head out to fly. If needed, you can find instructions for caching the maps here.

FYI, viewing and/or caching the maps does not require GPS on the mobile device.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Msigner correct about this. You can only able to see the Map if you are connected to the Internet or you downloaded the Offline map And cache map as well. Thank you for your support.
