Just wanted to pass this on. If you live in this area and find yourself flying with no GPS, you’ll know why.

So we may hear about, that Glonass will "rescue" flight attempts from DJI Drones.
Perhaps some fellow pilots from the area can check with the phone, GPS / Glonass, and can try a flight?

It's just scary what military forces can do with our rights.

Once you connect to Glonass those Russians immediately intercept control of your drone and drive it exactly to Siberia.

You cannot connect to GLONASS or any other positioning system. All satellite positioning systems are passive.

i guess people there should not consider flying or be ready to say Hi to ATTI Mode

I fully expect jammers to screw compass/magnetometers as well.
Would be fun if they can jam IMUs as well.

Yes, I actually live in the effective area. I flew yesterday and today with no issues but I was ready for ATTI mode any second to come blasting through the speakers

But I think this GPS "jamming" is done by the army with shutting down the GPS (satellites ) for public use  in (for) the selected area .
Not jamming the area with radio signal jammers, like for prisons and such areas
You just not receive the GPS data you would need to get a location and a route.

But this cases of "US controlled GPS use or not" was the start for Glonass, Beidu and Galileo
I don't think, the US could "jam" the others, without effecting the quality of there own GPS datas for military use.

Anyway:
Since there are more systems out, there is no problem to track even a flightpath with the jet you are in.
And the accuracy got also better, methinks!

Yep, I got told such tales, too.
Instead of google maps, they should have used some papermaps or such.
It is the same like telling grand childs, grand parents have not had google for their homework!
Or no calculators for math in school.

Thing is I am not sure if it's hardware like with jammers or software when they do it out of thin air.
