Found this sad looking Spark on the road near my house (Surrey Hills - Australia). Unfortunately it'd been run over a couple of times so the SD card is split in half. Was hoping to employ my detective skills to locate the owner through the footage and metadata. Serial number is OASUF7G00203L Any suggestions on how I might contact its owners?

Call DJI. They should have the serial number recorded when Spark was activated. Then they might have an email for the owner.

Otherwise, if it works, replace the battery & connect Spark to DJI Assistant with a PC & download the last flight logs. It may show the previous home point?
If this fail & you are in Victoria - , give it to EEHobbies  at 49 Vinter Ave., Croydon, VIC., 3136, Australia. The closest DJI authorised dealer to Surrey Hills Victoria. Unless it's N.S.W. Surry Hills?
Search DJI for service local centres within your location.
Maybe the owner crashed & needs Spark to redeem....

Personally, I would not take too much effort to solve, but since you asked, I hope I can help you the best I can.  Based on the SN under battery label being clear, it looks like a recent Xmas present that crashed. If you care, or curious, contact DJI &/or the local service centre on  +61-3-9723 8899  for further assistance.  

That's the BEST advise I can offer as an amateur detective myself.

I'm just replying generally. I'm sure the OP is trying their best to help discover the owner.
If ever I loose my Spark, I have faith that DJI can help within reason.
