fans6f66f9da, it was perfect situation. Very quiet with no usual distractions. Plus I figured it wasnt too deep and worst thing ill wet my shoes and send it for replacement. I am actually thinking its a lot of bridges in NYC and down in Florida where I go often so I need to get few more bridges over and under.

Does dji care give you a new drone if you are responsible for the crash/careless?

In my understanding that is what dji care refresh is good for. As per they website covered scenarios. User errors, water damage, drop damage.
Obviously crashing wasn’t my intention. But user error in this situation should be covered.

Probably, if you did not notice, it lost GPS and used VPS (Vision Positioning System) as you're low (VPS only works up to 8 meter).

That is brave actually! I’ve seen so many crashes during follow mode.
If you go to this link there is uncut version of this flight. Start from 6 min mark. It never lost Gps signal I was monitoring it closely. What happened (I think since I did not turn off bottom sensors) is drone sensor bounced off that big rock and started descent into water since sensor does not recognize it.
I caught it just in time to recover. But as of Gps it never lost it.

Hi Joller79 DK, we do appreciate your interest in our products. Yes, For a small additional charge, DJI Care Refresh offers up to two replacement units within one year. Each time you request a replacement, you’ll receive a replacement unit that is new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability. If you claim for replacement of your product twice, DJI shall be considered to have fully executed the DJI Care Refresh service. The DJI Care Refresh service will then be terminated. After replacement, the original product becomes DJI’s property and the replacement product is your property, with coverage effective for the remaining period of the Plan. I hope this can help.
