Just finished flights yesterday over the Placerville, CA and Camino areas, which received low elevation snow over the weekend. I’m still editing the video, but here are some stills.
While I was shooting, a light snow shower started and did not seem to affect the Spark. It wasn’t wet when I brought it in. But it was a light, dry snow. I eventually did bring it in as the rate of snow picked up.

In that area they have vineyards, apple trees, and Christmas trees. A lot of what you’re seeing are grape vines.

Great pics!  I hear it was not possible to travel from north to south Calif. due to snow.
BTW - even though the Spark looked dry be careful flying in falling snow as the cooling fan will pull the snow inside where it can melt.

The snow closed the highways from west to east over the Sierras at times. The plows had a hard time keeping up. The roads from north to south were open as far as I know. The only places where snow is an issue along those routes are mountain passes near LA and also at the far north near Oregon.

Thanks for the tip regarding the fans. I hadn’t considered that. Definitely better not to fly in snow.
