So this is my first try at doing timelapse videos using DJI Spark video footage.I used Premiere Pro to edit the footage (sped it up, stablized, added music)

I have a lot of ideas about where I can use this technique.


Youtube kind of butchered the quality. Surprisingly, the same file uploaded to Facebook looks sharper!

this was actually after doing stabilization on the video, drone definitely moves during 10 minutes of filming, these were all about 10 minutes of video compressed, so the slight movement you see is actually a reduction of the actual movement over time if that makes sense. I'll try to post more details tomorrow

Hello, nice try! Think you can add more speed of motion, I've watched video that was compressed from 10 min to 10 sec, and clouds moved so fast that was very impressive. Also did my timelapse, but it was windy enough and drone with Primiere Pro couldn't handle stabilization. You managed much better than I

Yeah, Premiere Pro already removed most of the movement of the 10 minute segments, still working on removing the last bit. Mercalli you say

I have actually removed most of the drift, remember each segment is 10 minutes, so drift ever so slight

Yeah, good point, I'll try and compress more. I think I'll work on adding more motion too, like slowly moving up, or out, or something to make it more interesting.

Also, it is best to smooth the segment before compressing the time.
At least that is how I get best results.
But you will not be able to kill all movement.

Compressing 60 times as in 10 minutes into 10 seconds and add movement... it will need to be ultra slow.
Not sure if doable manually.
