There is a purpose built solution coming for the Osmo Pocket.  This guy is taking preorders for a purpose built Osmo Pocket Z-Axis stablizer and aims to ship mid March.  Reviews are coming soon from the usual Youtube sources.  It is Aussie engineered and manufactured.  So if your Aussie, support this guy please.  Something actually engineered and manufactured in our own country.  I recently ordered another device off him and he knows his stuff and communicates personally from his FB page.   Price is in US as he ships mostly overseas but it's cheap as chips for the quality he puts out.

If DJI add a 4:3 ratio to 4k recording then it would be possible for us to take advantage of the extra vertical space for Z stablizing in Premire or any other video editing app which has post image stablizing and when convert to 16:9 4k it would look like using a physical stablizer, would it?

Not really.
The problem is not like trying to fix the other axis shift. This is more of a 3D problem that has to be fixed when shooting and not in post-production.

Looked at the whole line of stuff he's 'designed' and produces.  A true success testament of "have 3D printer, will produce"  Hope he gets around around to producing the product with an actual injection mold process.  I would think it allows a more robust choice of materials.  Nice to see, regardless.
