I have the first one, the Osmo Mobile. And I use it for iPhone 8 Plus and for the YI4k Plus.

That was also a reason for the quick purchase of the Pocket

+1:  I have been using osmo mobile 2 for a whole year.Time lapse / motion time lapse / hyperlapse with 0.5 second interval vs 3 seconds tell different stories. My wishful thinking is the same could be implemented in osmo pocket, but I am quite certain processing  power of CPU and battery  level from the two osmo products are really different.

At the moment you can choose between video (1080p) and video and picture for Time Lapse.
Is that possibly the reason!
If in time lapse 0.5 and 1 second for video and picture is not possible, then I like to do without video. Because video in 1080p I do not need. I only shoot in 4k.

However, I use the 1080p timelapse video option all the time and would not like to lose it.

Yes, it is easier and faster and the video is ready. You do not need a video editing program

I agree, we need 0.5s and 1.0s interval during time-lapse!

Goodness me, yes. I was excited to use the timelapse feature to record video from a moving car, but the super long interval (both 3 and 2 seconds) made the footage choppy and unusable. Got better results shooting 1080 24fps video then setting its speed to 2000% in post.

Count me in. I very been using osmo mobile 2 for a year where 0.5s interval is available in  time lapse motion time lapse and hyperlapse. Different intervals are for different story telling models.

This time lapse recording with 0.5 second interval. Made with YI4k Plus.
With 3 seconds interval, the recording would certainly not be so nice.



Let's hope that this will be possible in the future with the Pocket

+1 for shorter intervals for time-lapse.
