Who doesn't love content?

Are they from the sd card?

Some things to check:
Are you looking at actual images?
How much are you zooming in on the images?  No digital image will hold up if you zoom too far.
Are you looking at jpg or dng files?
If you think you are looking at dng files, check the pixel dimensions.
(Dng files have a small embedded preview jpg which will go to mush if you enlarge it).

If you are looking at genuine large images, check the ISO value.
Using a high ISO will produce grainy images.

With regards to that Captain, @Labroides is correct about this too much digital zooming will lead to Grainy outcome since it just zooming in the Image itself, and the higher ISO you have the higher chance of Grainy images you will have.
