Hello, I need some help figuring out why my footage seems to wobble like a bunch of jello... or more importantly, how to fix it!
I have an Inspire 1 with an X5R and I am getting a jello effect on my footage. At first it seems like it's vibrating, but the best way I can describe it is that parts of the image seem to catch, shift or wobble while other parts remain stable/behave as expected.

It happens more intensely... or looks more obvious when it's at a higher shutter speed. So it may have something to do with that.

Check out this clip.

You can see it throughout, but it's worst at :08. I took this from a longer clip where I was capturing the landscape. There was consistent movement, but random jello effect pops up from time to time.

This clip was shot at:
4K
24fps
1/50
ISO 100
45mm

It's been happening with DJI 15mm, 25mm and both Olympus 45mm models.

Has this happened to you? Any ideas? Much appreciated.

Have you tried lowering the shutter speed to 100th -  200th?

Hi Mark the faster the shutter speed 1/100 or 1/250 the worst it gets. So the most acceptable is 1/50. Anything slower starts looking a little odd because of the 2:1 FPS to shutter rule I believe

Seems to be a gimbal or base issue.

Make sure the silicone ball suspenders are in good shape, perhaps replace them with new ones. Make sure the wiring doesn't obstructs free movements of gimbal base. That said, 45mm lens is the worst one to exhibit jello effect, particularly when camera is angled sideway (not aligned with craft heading) ...
