Hello All. Attached are a few photos from a trip to Newcastle and the Hunter River, which are on the NSW coast about 100km north of Sydney. This is the port from where the Hunter Valley coal is exported.

Very beautiful area!  I suppose it is very pricey to live there though.

Yes. Stockton,  as seen in the photos is a bit cheaper than Newcastle but still an ocean "front"  would be $AU1,000,000 to $AU2,000,000. River "front" $AU500,000 to $AU1,000,000.

So exciting!
I'm planning an off season trip to Australia.  What are the regulations for pleasure flying there?  What areas would you recommend?  I would love to get some surfing and beach shots, other than that, pretty sunrises and sunsets do it for me.  Also I need some recommendations on Australian visa for Canadians . I found some helpful info online but still need your real life experience.
Please share your ideas.
