This is never going to work.......Aluminium (Aluminum for our US chums) is non-magnetic.

I think you bought an ALUMINIUM case - NOT magnetic.
But you can clue magnetic paper (0.5mm, even with foam)
or a thin iron plate inside to fix OP lenses.

Magnetic paper sounds interesting.
Is it premade product you can buy?

Yes it is a perfect case.

So I bought of box of Altoids mints.  Not only it was bulky, but the Nd filters were so hard to detach.  The only great thing was that every time I opened the box it smelled refreshing. Lol.  I decided to hack the existing PolarPro box by removing the rubberized layer and glued the back one of those fridge business cards magnets and voila!  Now it can hold more than the original 6 Nd filters.  I might extend the magnets to accomodate possibly up to 12 filters or so.  The fridge magnet holds them in place, they won’t detach on their own, and they can be removed easily by me- something that I struggled with the rubberized holders.  This hack didn’t cost me a penny but I still want to try the business card case you guys have listed here.  But for now, this setup works for me.

Yes, you learn it at school ... without studying at university for Dr.alu, Master of Alu.
Price of such alu cases is under $1, for polished steel you have to pay under $2.
Important: read/think/read again/think again ... then buy!

Magnetic paper - printable with laser or inkjet printers.

If you think about, those fridge magnets can actually be glued or velcro to anything literally.  I already put one on my car dashboard to swap them quick for timelapses etc.  They don't look elegant but serve the purpose.

Genius! I have to try this
I had originally designed a couple of cases that you can slide out with one hand. But Im waiting on my friend to 3d print them.
The card wallet idea is perfect.
Here are my mockups if anyone is interested. Newest design at the back...holds 10, and uses tiny 5x10mm magnets to snap the case shut, and snap each filter into its slot
Was a fun project.

This is a pretty cool case. Files posted for a 3D printer. Not my design.

Love this thread!
Heres my new take. Its a 2€ cigarette holder. I cut little triangle pieces out of the magnetic tape strips so now its way easier to get a good grip on the filter edges.
I gave the box a good shake and everything holds steady
Very happy. Holds 12 so room to grow!

Mint can is the best idea, some with pop lid, easy to use and small.

Hope this is fine with everyone.

Does anyone have a recommendation on what camera cover to use to fit over the camera, gimbal and one of these filters attached?

Would the one from PGYTECH (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32992000227.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.6767595ckG3zf7&algo_pvid=b00acd5a-d33b-4bb5-a355-9e169d35560c&algo_expid=b00acd5a-d33b-4bb5-a355-9e169d35560c-20&btsid=3b67cb34-07bf-423f-93df-99da7c009144&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_2,searchweb201603_53) do?
