So I received my Smart Controller. Hard to upgrade, otherwise happy. Currently looking at #15, Screw Holes, for no reason. Chime in. Nice stand with the sticks for viewing and allowing cooling to get to the intake. An extra leverage point while handling. What else?

Hello and good day Yraegel. Thank you for reaching out and for the inquiry. The #15 screw holes on the DJI Smart Controller are for future extended accessories, but as of the moment, there are no compatible accessories. Thank you.

Bought my SC the day it was released. Until now DJI still hasn’t made a lanyard for this controller. Something that I don’t quite understand why. They make holes for accessories but don’t make the accessories ?! However you can find a very good one on the internet. I bought I mine on alieexpress for only €11.

Several 3rd party companies are creating different accessories that utilize those screw holes.  Most that I've seen are lanyard accessories of some sort.   Here is a prototype I just saw recently posted in a FB group.

The screws are 4M (metric).  A variety of lengths can fit - measure with a toothpick.  While I initially purchased a few different sizes and picture frame mounting d-rings, a very talented and generous guy machined some screws that looked like those posted in above reply.  I've attached a lanyard.  

Lanyard makes a nice way to deal with the SC so you don't need a dry, safe place to put it down while fiddling with the drone or other issues.

@DJI,

Is there any ETA when original accessories for those mount holes will be available?

Neat looking attachment.  But I tried the single attachment point with my MavMount lanyard on the regular controller.  I found it tended to rotate around the single point if I leaned over and the screen might turn inward toward my chest.  I find that now with the SC and two attachment points, the SC does not tend to turn or rotate.  It just hands down neatly.  So I do prefer two attachment points.

We have ordered one. Of these, so we can use our external monitor as a dedicated screen for camera view only.

Not sure if they are actually shipping yet though.

I’m seriously thinking about getting one too!  I love the concept, but definitely increases the carry bag size/weight and increases set up time. But I’m still thinking about it.

I just ordered this. not to found of the screen cover thing but the folding rings on the lanyard is what sold me. so itll still fit into my DJI hard case i use

Screws:  M4, 0.7mm thread pitch. 10 to 12mm Length.  Check out Smart Controller "Lanyard" posts some nice stuff out there.
