Hey!

So I just got the multi camera control cable in the mail and set it up with my sony a6500.
I tried using the focus wheel to pull focus and it seems like all it wants to do is zoom? Can someone help me on how to change the ronins settings or the camera settings to change this to pull focus instead? Would be greatly appriciated!

With the new update you only need the MCC-C cable. Also put the camera in "REMOTE PC" mode where it says "USB" and deactivates the Control by Smarthphone option

Ive done all these things, updated the firmware, updated the app, I have the MCC-C cable, but it insists on zooming, and in the camera control part of the app it recognises its a Sony camera as well, but the only option for camera control is zoom and its speed. Should I be seeing a switch to change the zoom to a focus pull?

Refer to the camera compatibility list. A6500 isn't listed as being able to control focus. Sony's own tethering software doesn't even allow any type of manual focus to work.

IT WORKS NOW!  Actually, I was using the MCC Multi all the time before

BUT:
1) it only works when AF is enabled on the lens and MF in camera.
2) I can not use my SmallHD Monitor at the same time with the MCC-C (goes blank)

Any suggestions for no 2) ?

Hi @Davidmartin, I don't quite understand your comment here because MCC-C is not compatible with Sony A6500. Only MCC Multi works with A6500.

Has anybody actually managed to get their Sony A6500 focus working on the focus wheel?

@Trystin are you sure you are not confusing cables? The MCC-C is a USB-C cable and does not fit the Sony A6500. Perhaps you are referring to MCC Multi?

Hi @Davidmartin, how do you "deactivate the Control by Smarthphone option". I can't find this option in Sony A6500. Please help.

Thanks,
Jacques
