OK, I can't stress this enough. Many of us bought this device for once-in-a-lifetime trips that we wanted to record in 4K

Well, Fellow OP users, CHECK YOUR FOOTAGE. I bet if you switched to take a photo or maybe a slo-mo... and switched back to 4K... your footage is 1080P

I noticed this after import. I saw many files as .MOV and I'm like WTF?

Yes, Half my footage is essentially crap now.

I want my money back, seriously. Why this isn't a top issue, IDK. What crap.

Everyone, check your footage. It will come back to .MP4 if you switch it, but you have to re-tell it to do so. Simply going back to Video mode dosen't cut it. It'll say 4K60 on the tiny display, but it's actually 1080P

I can't tell you how disapointing this is.

Update: So, it appears my video player was not recognizing some of the MOV files as 4K... So, I didn't lose "HALF" However, to be fair, a 20% chunk DID render as 1080P... Why it switched to 1080 or MOV is anyone's guess. Anyway, looks like some of my footage ended up being OK, just watch how your player handles it.
