A few of my friends and colleagues have asked me in the past if it is ok to fly a drone in India. I have also seen a number of posts in forums where this has been discussed.
So sorry to disappoint you people but it seems it is still very difficult as a foreigner to fly a drone in India. Just wanted to share this video with you all for the sake of information.

I totally understand. It is frustrating for us native Indians as well. That guy makes a very good point that there are satellite images and military drones flying anyway. So how does stopping a civilian from flying his drone boost your security? It is very annoying to see the level of skepticism attached with drones.

That is why I left my drone back home in the Philippines when I went to Thailand last year. I went all through the research and deemed it too much of a hassle if ever I encounter these situations. I brought the drone however to Vietnam but again there's always a risk of these things happening.

Lastly, when you get back home, find somebody in your home country who looks like the angry police. Don't get mad, get even.
