DJI Innovations presents a third system of the coveted, popular and frequently used Ronin family. The DJI Ronin MX is launched with new user modes and is intended to appeal to professional users with high camera requirements with a maximum payload of 4.5 kilograms. The highlight of the Ronin MX: The dual-handheld gimbal can also be used as a gimbal for the new DJI Matrice M600 and is therefore suitable for use on the ground or in the air.

DJI Ronin MX: Suitable for many cameras

The new DJI Ronin-MX is a largely universal handheld gimbal, which is suitable for numerous camera systems from the professional cinematography area - such as cameras à la Red Dragon, Arri Alexa Mini, BMCC or in the photography area very popular Canon EOS 5D, Like the other Ronin systems, the DJI Ronin-MX features brushless motors that compensate for camera shake and movement, providing smooth camera shots.

Numerous improvements over DJI Ronin-M and DJI Ronin

DJI has made some changes to the DJI Ronin-MX, especially the basic construction. For example, the battery has been repositioned to give the system an even better balance. The same applies to the slip ring, which now can rotate a whopping 360 degrees and thus allow even more comfort during recording. The stabilization of the DJI Ronin-MX should have been significantly improved according to DJI in terms of workspace and accuracy and thus provide even more options for professional filmmakers. Among other promises DJI even better stabilization at high g-forces, so that the DJI Ronin-MX, for example, when mounting on car roofs and when recording during high cornering speeds should be even better. In addition, the engines should be more powerful and the noise during recording must have been minimized. A lot has changed in the work areas as well - which can be seen in detail in the table below.

The dead weight of the DJI Ronin-MX, including handle (so-called handlebar) and the battery, is just 2.77 kilograms. The control range of the DJI Ronin-MX amounts to 100 to 200 meters using the supplied remote control and the integrated or supplied receiver. However, when the DJI Ronin-MX is used in combination with the DJI Matrice M600, the latest DJI Lightbridge 2 also provides the DJI for a control area or a control distance of up to five kilometers. On the battery side, the DJI Ronin-MX also uses a 4S energy storage with 1,580 mAh as with the DJI Ronin-M. The battery design has remained the same, which is why both Ronin-MX batteries on the Ronin-M and Ronin-M batteries on the Ronin-MX can be used. New: On request, the Ronin-MX can be equipped with a second rechargeable battery through an optional rechargeable battery holder to provide an additional power supply for the respectively mounted camera.
