It’s a good question. Others could probably explain it better than me but here’s my explanation...I hope I get it right.
Active track would’ve worked also...with similar results, but limits the aircraft’s movements....it follows the subject from the side, in front, behind.....and always keeps the subject centred in the screen.
Tap and go only flies the aircraft in the direction you tell it to...(in my case, I wanted it to fly in the direction of the railway tracks), and lets you control the camera. A huge advantage of Tap and go is that you can rotate,(yaw), the aircraft and film the subject from different angles. No matter which direction the aircraft is pointing, it will always fly where initially directed. If the train had been moving slower than my drone, I would have probably ended up flying backwards, but in the same direction as the train...and would have filmed the train head on.
