I finally got the Kase Wide Angle Lens and have been using it for sometime.



It tooks about 5 days to deliver.
This lens is 18mm equivalent field of view.



About twice thick & heavy than ND filters.
Seems almost at the gimbal motors limit.




This is about the field of view difference.



In same angle, this is the distortion comperison.
(Likely fixable in post)




It has Vignetting, light smear and color aberration.
Full package... of caurse it is a cheap lens.



Shorter minimal focal distance.




Nice by product of wide angle lens is that it reduces Z-axis bounce.
It is much less noticeable with wide angle lens.





One thing to carefull about using this lens is gimbal shake.
If you set the gimbal lock mode or tracking mode which the gimbal motor need to do micro adjustment, gimbal will likely shake when vertical rotation is happen.
However using follow mode solved this issue for me.





Now this lens become one of my OP filter collection...


At its cheap price, it serves its function right.

Thanks for the review. An interesting filter, the extra FOV may be very enticing for Vloggers. I'd be a little worried about the weight and whether it will affect the gimbal motor in the long term. Maybe one of the mainstream filter producers will come up with one that is lighter and fits properly. Cheers

I don’t worry too much on wearing down motors cause I only use it occasionally. Like only 5% of my shooting. (Or should I... )

However It would  be great to see more brands coming up with wide angle lens with better build quality.

Shout out to Polapro and Freewill for creating better version of their own.

Excellent review. I think this will be awesome for vlogging and just wider landscape shots in general. Yes, it may vignette and lose resolution at the edges but it does give the Pocket other FOV options.
