I live on an island where an extrordinary number of WW2 bunkers exist, open for visitors to enter for free, and explore.
I decided to fly over one small open area (in relation to the island of about 3 sq. miles) and take a grid of photos showing a cluster of bunkers and stitch them into one very large image. on the first try, the file size exceeded the 2gb limit in photoshop, so I had to delete images where there were no bunkers or trenches. The final size was about 980mb.
For posting here, there is no possibility of uploading the full map, so here is the 254kb version. I include a cropped square so you can see zoomed in detail.
I also took a quick stitched phone snap of the inside of two bunkers.
I hope you find them interesting.

Great job on this!  I've played around with doing this as well, but not to quite the same scale as it seems you've done here.  For collecting your pictures, did you stay in one location or did you move around?  I've played with both methods.  How many individual pics went into the final image?

Hi KlooGee, it works out at about 27 per bunker, close ups. A lot less on non-interesting areas. Once it is flattened and converted to JPG, the density of pixels is reduced.
