I just got and tried Master Airscrew´s low noise propellers and was impressed how they worked and  reduced annoying noise from little Mavic Air. :-) Thanks AIR SCREW ! I bought them from Norway and  after 4 days  Mavic Air in the sky  :-)

The MAS props are awesome and are much more quiet than the stock props.  DJI should focus on making there own quiet props.

Hi and good day Viking1, thanks for sharing your experienced with these propellers. Just a friendly reminder, we don't recommend you to use a 3rd party accessories because we are unable to ensure the performance and compatibility. Appreciate your understanding and support.

DJI should focus on making there own quiet props.

Maybe not focus on, but DJI does need to work on making quieter props and quieter drones.

Other companies have managed.  As much money as DJI is making, DJI can afford research and testing.

I've bought a couple of sets of these myself. I tested them with a decibel meter indoors (so no other ambient noise) and they were only 1-3 decibel lower than the standard props. The pitch is slightly lower, but not to the extent I've been hearing on other people's video. Perhaps it makes a different outside at distance?
I also noted that many edges had slight serrations, which I attribute to the mould. The manufacturer could have tidied up those rough edges before shipping out IMHO.

Otherwise, I didn't note any change in flight characteristics, which is good. I'll have to wait for a longer flight to see if their claims of reduced battery usage is valid.

I tested them today, measuring sound from about 1 foot in front of the Mavic Air while hovering about 3 feet off the ground. I did notice a slightly lower pitch. I also got motor current warnings. Anybody else have to compensate for the different props?

Flew for the first time on the weekend with the Master air screw propellers.
Interestingly someone came up to me and asked about the drone, they also commented that it sounded like a swarm of angry bees.
So while the Master air screw propellers are a little quieter, it may be more noticeable to us piloting, rather than the general public.

You 3rd party patronists, listen:

Sure taking steroids wont injure you today, but cumulatively it will.

Can you relate it to increasing torque demands from motors not tested for such strain to proof reliability

Quick fixes without longterm testing can haunt later

I wish entity redesigns props not for silence but instead for extending life longevity (boards, motors, battery, etc). It be terrible mavic air can not last seven years without a single glitch necessitating support

Many complaints from you tubers on these. Need to adjust all gains to 80% , they atcually hit the body of the drone, etc.

I just updated firmware and adjusted gains to 80 and haven't had a chance to fly it yet. I can say that the props do *not* touch the drone body. It's sitting right here and I rotated the props around in front and rear locations. I'm trying to understand under what conditions this could happen. Extreme flex when accelerating in sport mode?

They running quieter because motors spinning slower. That is why battery running time is a minute or two better.
However running slower may affect maneuverability and may affect individual parts life span.
You gain some. You lose some.

A few days later but I'll ask the question: with the Mavic Air, there's literally one set of official propellers, correct? There isn't a set that will officially work, like, higher performance or lower noise? Just the one set?

Correct. One set of props from DJI for the Mavic Air. They work just fine. The Master Airscrew ones might work better... I like them so far. Time will tell.

I adjusted to 80, but not till after I took the readings shown earlier in this thread. I should re-do those and hover, but walk-around with the sound-meter app and measure from all sides, now that the gain is adjusted.

Have you tried the V2 Stealth props? This seems to be improved version fixing all issues some have had. Reviews are awesome so far.
Color options could be better, but I would probably aim for the blue.

I bought V1 (with the Motor Error)...spent 55$...and received few days after my firt tests a message for V2
I asked Master Airscrew for a coupon (or something similar) to upgrade, and fix errors... without success (frankly speaking, very bad customer relationship)
So,keep in mind that, in case of problem, you will  be "alone", without any help... and be ready to spend few bucks more..

Thanks! Exactly what I needed to know. Was about to order some v2's. Also, how did they not make these in white? Guess it doesn't matter now though. The fact they can't/won't admit the failure of v1 was steering me away as it was. Cheers-

Not sure what reviews you've been watching, but there are loads of complimentary reviews (video & text) on these.  Please note that Master Airscrew have been specialisising in RC model aircraft propellers for many years & have a VERY good reputation in this field.

I have both versions and like them both.  Although you have to make some adjustments with v1, they still perform well despite the motor current errors.  V2 is flawless with the gain adjustments.

Steroids?  How in the heck is this even remotely relate-able to the subject?  I mean, really.

This isn't some fly-by-night company making these props, they've had a year to design and test.  And if the MA isn't built well enough to run these props, it isn't made well, period.  I would have no issues whatsoever recommending Master Airscrew props to a MA owner.

The factory issue equip is no different than any other "reconstructed" equip without factory design blessings. Take for example retrofit B-52 wing undercarriage payloading cruise missle attachment. Don't you consider factory design blessings are necessary prior deployment? Only factory retains details enabling granting blessings

There you go again, if the props are not working it’s the Mavic Air the fault lies with, do you know how ridiculous that sounds.
Air screw have had a year to work on these props, yet after one year the result was they needed to design a new set of props, MK2 . I noticed the failure with the first set didn’t call for a recall, instead send out a new set that work better now but charge again for them, Airscrew are no different from any other company , if you can fleece someone do it and the did .
