I’m still beginning the learning process of using the OM2. I filmed a family occasion yesterday using my iPhone 6s. I wanted to transfer the video files to my iPad for editing. I couldn’t locate the files but all I found was, “download to device”. I downloaded the files and transferred. Where is the default storage location?

I use the iPhone charging cable, connect to the USB port on my laptop, and the phone and computer both should ask you for your password to connect.  Then when that is done, you can get the files off.  I am assuming you are using a Windows laptop, cause if a Mac, I'm lost there.
