Assembling the Ronin-m.

When I put the handlebars onto the dovetail mount of the gimbal they click in nicely.

However, when I try to tighten the dovetail mount with the screw handle even when I get it as tight as it reasonable the mount is still loose and wobbly.

When it is tightened as much as it reasonable I can click the brass release button and the whole thing just slides out. So it really isn't tight at all.

Am I doing something wrong? Any trouble shooting ideas? Just bought it new from B&H.

I've got other dovetail mounts (Arca-Swiss) and so I think I know how they are supposed to work.

Hi,

Figured this out.

As shipped the knob on the dovetail could not close tightly enough.

However, there is a hex bolt in the center of the knob. One can use this to adjust the travel of the dovetail clamp. By tightening it I was then able to get a good grip with the dovetail.

Hopefully this can help someone else.
