Just to confirm initially that the charger is functioning correctly ?
So you cannot recharge the remote, but you can for example recharge a battery ?
I suppose the fact that by plugging in it lights two of the led's suggests there is power of some sort there.
Also, you have checked(the obvious)that the power lead into the transformer(power unit) is fully home etc and the leads are not damaged or partially home.
Do you have any friends that live nearby so you could try their charger or your charger on their kit ?
Any RC model shops near by to test your kit ?
Do you have a multimeter so you can test the output of the charger(if that's the issue) ?
