It would have been nice to know when we had memory problems with our first Smart Controller.

Hi Dji Tony,

It’s quite well documented on here, but our first controller basically bricked itself.

We still don’t know the real reason,,we never got any report back from dji direclty.

Ours was one of the very first Smart Controllers, and was working fine.

We had only installed a few extra apps to help us with our commercial ops.

Crucially though we did not monitor the on board memory and storage.

Sadly this resulted in or SC hanging during a commercial flight for a regular client.

We spent many hours and days on to dji support, but the device was stuck in a loop due to low internal system memory.

It was Deemed to hard to fix, and was sent back to dji and a replacement issued.

Hi, sorry to know about the unpleasant experience. Any problem encountered with the Smart Remote Controller can be a case to case basis. Maximizing the capacity may also affect its performance so I recommend monitoring the storage when using it. You may install a third-party application, however, we couldn't guarantee the performance of the app while using it. We take this kind of report seriously and you may provide us any video reference to any problem that you may encounter in the future. Thank you for understanding.

Yes we now as a matter of course monitor the internal memory very closely before and after each flight!
