We can't use the M2P as we live in a red zone. As a last resort, we use the simulator. Unfortunately the simulator does not work without the aircraft connected.
Why?

The same happends when i tried to get the Flight Controller Serial number. This is completely absurd to require to have the aircraft on, when the information we need is stored in the controller only.

However, for the Flight Controller Serial Number inquiry, the application should detect the unit first in order to provide this serial number as this number is bounded to the aircraft.
