Finally home and can upload the latest video of flying under the Orwell Bridge in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Lost the signal slighly as it went under, but recovered almost immediately the drone passed through.

Nice footage! I'm wondering if it had lost connection for a longer period under the bridge would it fly up and crash into the bridge?

Quite possibly, the bridge is four lanes wide, so out of signal for just a second or two...though those few seconds felt a very long time..

Really cool!  Thanks.

Also, can you provide details?  I would imagine you want to avoid an unexpected RTH where the AC would rise to RTH altitude and crash into the bridge?  Do you turn off OA sensors?  What else do I need to know?

How exactly is this done safely?

Hi, my first and second time, so am not an “expert” by any means. The bridge has two carriageways on each side, so not too wide. Figured that if I flew in at a reasonable speed, I’d be back in signal / gps coverage almost immediately.  Left all the sensors switched on. Bridge is 40 metres high, so set RTH at 20 metres just in case...More comfortable (actually just a little less terrifying) with the tide out and less traffic in the early morning than the evening.
Your mileage may vary, I think the phrase is.  I’ve seen posts say different things on this forum, so take care and good luck...the sense of relief is enormous, but it’s such a rush.
