What sort of approval do you need to get for flying in the city?

Btw, do you guys have official "drone licenses" ?  I was wondering if I should invest in one for private use ..

No need for private use at this stage.
But to get approvals for flying in areas like those in this thread does require CASA licensing and then you can apply for approvals for particular times and places, through CASA
Sydney  and the harbour are tightly controlled with some big fines for not having approvals.
