I bought Dji Osmo Pocket in April 2019 and installed the last Firmware.
In Timelapse mode i create a path with an initial point and final point. Only in this mode the focus is not good and the Osmo Pocket produce bad images. I tried to change the type of focus, AFC and AFS but nothing, whem the OP begin the first shot, the focus change.
In Timelapse mode without a path it is all OK. The single shots of the camera is OK. In the video mode it is all OK. Only when i create a path i have this problem. It seems a firmware problem.  

Is it V 01.06.00.20?
What was your shooting subject?
Daylight? Night? Indoors?

That is strange.
Daylight motion-lapse always had no problem.
The minimum focus distance for motion-lapse is 2m or 3m was in dji discription.

It would be helpful if you upload some sample video of out of focus shot you have.

In the first Picture you can see the single shot in Motion Lapse with Path, in the second the shot in Time Lapse without Path.
The distance is over 4 meters but I saw this effect also in external view in three different Motion Lapse. Always there is this difference.

I have the same issue along with many people .

The shortest distance between the device and object in Motionlapse is 2.5m, so please make the object far away from OSMO POCKET."



Firmware fix is all needed to fix the above problem..Only if DJI is ready to own up that it needs a fix .

I have the same issue like mentioned by you .I would suggest you to get it exchanged if its new .I really want to use motion timelapse feature ,but unable to do so  . Might end up selling it if dji fails to solve the problem which needs firmware fix .

In the two pictures it is possible to see the poor quality of the photos especially in the left side.
With a normal Time Lapse without PATH the quality instead is very good. The focus change when the Time Lapse with PATH begin with the first shot
