Great shots of a great skyline. Wouldn‘t be possible in Germany though, since more than 100m above ground, at night, within city limits. And lbnl a German judge recently decided it to be legal for a property owner to shoot down a drone above his property with a rifle...

Yes it is legal to fly there, no government or airport close that would forbid a flight.
However, always check the DJI No-fly zone map, it is very accurate and up-to-date for China.

Great video ...

Living in Shanghai, I can tell you that the DJI no fly zone doesn't cover all the local restricted zones ...

Basically, all the walks and parks along the Huangpu River are forbidden for take off and landing ...

So basically, you must head some streets behind where you can take off ...

They will kindly tell you to do so and no further trouble will be encountered ...

Yes, you need to register your drone in China.
Even the DJI App will check and will not let you take off.
The main challenge is you need a chinese mobile phone no. to register.

Oh, in China it's 120m max. and no night flights too, unless you get permissions. So the 500m in this video, you get a license in Germany or do it without, possible it would be!
