I have just recently updated my iPad 2 to the iPad 5. While the DJI app loaded perfectly with all my previous settings there is one issue that is very annoying, although it can be fixed with some tape and card. Let me say here that this issue is not anyone’s fault least of all DJI’s, I just want people to be aware of it.
The iPad 5 is much thinner than it’s predecessor and is sloppy to the point it can slip out of the controller and fall with disastrous results, a/ damage to the iPad and b/ temporary loss of control of the aircraft.
So if you are thinking of updating to the new iPad 5 please concider this issue seriously. On a positive note, the iPad 5 has a brighter screen making for much better visualals on those bright sunny days.
