Hello,
I live in France. It's a pleasure to share with you my drone experience of travelling in CORSICA (FRANCE)
   
LOCATION : Corsica island - West coast from Ajaccio to Cap Corse.
This is one of the most beautiful part of France. French people call this "island of beauty".
There is a large variety of landscape : sea, beach, river, water falls, mountains, forests, typical villages, lighthouse....
MY TRIP : 10 days in may 2018 between Ajjacio and Cap Corse.
DJI DRONE : Mavic Pro Platinum and Mavic Air
PLAN YOUR TRIP :
There is lot of tourist in Corsica during july and august. For this reason, best periods does in April, May, september and october. Travel in Corsica does very easy. Flights from european countries, boat from France and Italia. There is lot of hotels or camping. Rent a car is the best solution to move on the island.
REGULATIONS :
French law are applied. Main rules are :
- do not fly over 150 meters hight (AGL) - 492 ft. It's could be less near airports or near military base or area training.
- do not fly in cities, villages or near airports
- do not fly over group of people
- you must be able to watch your drone everytime.

APPLICATION PROCESS :
To prepare a flight, I start always by weather forecast (http://www.meteo.fr and http://www.meteoblue.com).
Next steep does map analysing : https://www.geoportail.gouv.fr/ and https://www.google.com/mapsAfter, I go on the terrain
CUSTOMS :
There is absolutly no problem to travel by aircraft with a drone in france. Some basic rules to be right :
- Drone in the cabine bag
- No more than 2 batteries
- put your drone alone in a X ray box for the safety control
LOCALY ADVICES :
Local people love their landscapes and their traditions. Respect them ! Show your drone before fly and explain what you are going to do. Avoid place where lot of people is present. Fly during the golden hours to have the best colors and to avoid people...
