Interesting article in DPReview last week ("Senators urge FAA to quickly approve drone identification rules") on the push to have unmanned aircraft capable of remote ID, either by using the smartphone network or by having the UA transmit data to a ground receiver.
Is there any opinion from DJI on whether or if such systems will be compatible with the existing fleet of aircraft, specifically the Spark.
It's easy to see how DJIGo smartphone app can hook up to a network where one is available. In more remote locations, the "broadcast" remote ID seems more practical. Is the Spark capable of "broadcast" remote ID?

The ID can be seen as the SN of a (DJI) bird, right?
I think I have read something about, that authorities can "read", which DJI drones are in use.
B/c the serial is (should be) in the radio signal from the bird to the phone/wifi
My guess is, that this needs more law changes, in most countries, as technical changes in the fw!
