Hello,

I am leaving the first week and going down to Miami and would like to take my drone with me down to Miami and I can’t seem to find good info as to what the guidelines are as to what’s allowed for drones for carry ons. Also, I’m guessing the battery has to be dead in both the controller and the drone battery before going through security? Thank you!

They don't have to be dead just below 50%. I have had my batteries checked and drone swab.

I think 25-40% is about where they want it...? Not entirely sure, just make sure it ain't a 100% AND cover the terminals with either a rubber cover you can get from Amazon or just some electrical tape

Hello and good day IVJSawyerIV. Thank you for reaching out and for the inquiry. I hope you'll get the best information and recommendations here from our valued DJI co pilots who traveled in Miami, Florida. In addition please read through your airline's battery transportation regulations when traveling with LiPo batteries. Finally I will be posting a link where in you can check locations in Miami ( https://www.dji.com/flysafe/geo-map ) where in you can fly your drone freely and if the said location is a no fly zone ( NFZ ) and I will be posting a link where in you can check some DJI Flying Tips on how to fly your drone on the said locations ( https://www.dji.com/flyingtips?site=brandsite&from=nav ). Thank you and stay safe always.
