Is there some way to 'tap' into the controllers for the I1's and I2's (also Phantoms), electrically. I'd like the ability to be inside my van/motorhome with an external antenna under certain circumstances. Even in the privacy of an open field, hot weather not withstanding, I'd like to 'test' certain things with privacy and comfort.

Someone must have figured 'something' out; btw, the silly columna quasi-parabolic dishlike doo-dads tha slip on the 'rabbit ears' is useless.

What about the "line of sight" that you must maintain?

Surely you can simply use an antenna cable and extend the location of the current antennas. As said, it's illegal in the US to fly beyond line of sight so do it in the middle of nowhere where you pose no risk to others.

Look into Titan at commandcase.com you might have to write to them as I don't see it in the website, but they have an extension and remote antena you can install on the roof of a vehicle with a suction cup
