Here's a cautionary story:
Saturday was the first sunny day we've had in almost 2 months, so the family went to the park to play some badminton.
The wife suggested some aerial footage of them playing, so I hovered my P4P v2 and slowly moved back and forth, while my daughter filmed from the ground with another camera.
About 5 minutes into the flight, I got the dumb idea to switch to Intelligent Flight mode so that I could do an orbit around my family's game. What I didn't realize is that doing so not only cancelled the recording, but also deleted what had been recorded to that point.
End result was, I got the last 52 seconds of the game and none of the beginning before I engaged IFM.
Best is to make any mode changes BEFORE you commence recording.

Thanks for the heads up.   Will have to try it and see if maine does the same.   Don't remember changing flight modes while still recording but i bet it will come up one day.
